Summary
Jin Ling, Lan Jingyi, and Ouyang Zizhen are in another class listening to Lan Qiren’s lectures again. The topic that day was supposed to be about the feared Yiling Patriarch, but their laoshi had merely shrugged it off with disgust when it was brought up. With Jin Ling wanting to know more about the man who killed his parents, Lan Jingyi comes up with the idea to ask Hanguang-Jun, because they were apparently mortal enemies, and what better way to approach the cold jade than ask the one disciple who he was close to, who was also coincidentally his best friend! What they didn’t expect was to be introduced to a whole story through paintings and small notes, as well as exposed to the many truths they didn’t know before.
