Summary
This is a part of the shared creation (Which doesn't have a title yet), from the Fanfic writers in K. M. Shea's fandom. The creation is about an apartment building created for "orphan" supernaturals who don't have a Pack, Family, Court or House. The existence of such an apartment is referred to in several of K. M. Shea's Magiford books. We've just taken that idea and run with it.
This particular piece is from the POV of a young brownie girl (brownies being a type of fae), whose family is moving into the building. The scope of this piece is a slice of time while her family is moving in, before she meets anyone from the other apartments.
