   Summary

   Skye was done. Done with foster care, done with high school, done with the crappy hand life had dealt her. She'd barely found her dad, but apparently the one person who wanted her was a murderer - and an awful father.
   A year later, she's in yet another foster home (the Wards) which is no better than the dozens she's been to over her 16 miserable years of life.
   But after maybe making some friends, Skye might be able to pull herself out of the rubble of her past and find some hope. Maybe she deserves friendship, love and a safe place to call home.

   Almost all of the students at Skye's newest high school have something they're struggling with. Absentee parents, abuse, mental health issues, physical health issues; but they make friends, discover secrets, find family and take control of their lives.
