Heeseung, a general of the royal coven, is sent to investigate rumors of an influential “matchmaker” operating in the outskirts of the city. Jungwon learns two things, as the days pass.
First, the universe is a bitch, and second, his brain is remarkably stupid.
See, the kitchen incident must’ve triggered some sort of cosmic chain of events—that’s the universe equals bitch part—because after it, his Jay-hyung just gets more and more competent. Or, not exactly. Jungwon’s pretty sure Jay is just as competent as he always was, only now, and this is where Jungwon’s stupid brain comes in, now Jungwon is so keenly aware of it that it’s like fucking enlightenment.
Except, his enlightenment consists solely of seeing everything Park Jongseong can do, and how he just keeps fucking doing it.
Otherwise known as: a quiet day in the kitchen sheds new light on Park Jongseong’s capabilities.

Apparently, something’s come up at home, and Yeonjun ought to accelerate ending his tasks. Like any good warrior, Yeonjun asks for details. But his coven general is silent on the matter, and no answers come.
Turns out, his mate Soobin has gotten triggered into rut, and without Yeonjun there, the way he always was every time before, it’s already gone on much, much longer than it should.
Once he gets home to his suffering alpha, Yeonjun has to deal with the painful, and pleasurable, consequences.
