Summary
500 years ago, the Demon King was exiled to the Depths. His story and his monsters have become nothing but a legend, a story told to children to frighten them.
One day, Zelda finds herself trapped in the Depths. Instead of just monsters and darkness, she is met with a man who holds too many contradictions to make sense and a past that makes him wonder if she is a curse sent to him from the Goddesses themselves.
Zelda has a Kingdom to reclaim. Ganondorf has a bet win. They may just be able to break free from the prison that holds them, if only they can manage to work together.

This was the only way Zelda could save Link. And that was enough to swallow her fear and convince her it was the right thing to do.I saw a tweet or tumblr post (idk where it was exactly) about a theory that Zelda's tears created the Silent Princess flowers. This is that story.

Summary
“Next time,” he said against her neck. His voice was rough with disuse. “We are only saving each other.”
The Hero refuses the call. The Princess is healing. The Thief has a destiny to fulfill but he will be dammed if he won't do it his way. The three of them are tired of being part of the Goddesses' games.
As this iteration of Ganondorf starts to conquer Hyrule, Link decides Zelda has been through enough trauma and hides her away, keeping her in the dark about what is really happening. Zelda realizes she might need Ganondorf's help to escape. In return, Zelda may just be what Ganondorf may need to finally break free from his demons.

The hearts of its two surviving vassals crack under the pressure of a force they never knew, aching for a man they'd never met.

He stared at her silently.
Zelda pressed on, mind already churning with ideas. “I’ve heard so many stories about you, and you sound… well, truly exemplary. It would be only for research purposes, I assure you! My study, that is. And you’d be quite compensated for it.”
His brow rose higher.
“It may take a significant amount of time,” she added quickly. “We can agree upon a rate that you deem satisfactory. There may also be some, um, disrobing, required, but I assure you I am quite a professional and will handle it with the utmost respect!”
Ganondorf snorted. “You want to pay me to take my clothes off and let you handle me?”
The sound that escaped her resembled a drunken keese. “That is not what I said at all!”
“That’s exactly what you said.”

We will be king and queen, Power and Wisdom, together as one. If you will have it."
A heartbeat away. An offering of peace. An offering to save her people, to be the shield that they need. To fulfill the very duty she was brought into this world for. All she has to do is say yes.
Zelda survives her attempt to save Midna's life and finds herself with no choice but to ally with Hyrule's greatest and most dangerous enemy. Ganondorf claims he has no desire to rule over ashes but he remains as enigmatic as ever, haunted by the ghost of a past he refuses to speak of. Hyrule needs a strong hand to guide it, to judge the sins it was built on and teach it to repent, and its true king has arrived, with his gentle queen by his side. Together, the unlikely pair must right the wrongs that came before them and try to create a better future.
And maybe along the way, they can find healing in each other.
