Summary
After the war, Hermione inherits Malfoy Manor as part of reparations—a fact she hates almost as much as the Manor itself. The fires won’t stay lit, the hallways shift when she isn’t looking, and the house-elves look like they’re waiting for someone who isn’t coming back.
She plans to stay just long enough to fix it, sell it, and walk away but one quick trip to Gringotts turns her plans upside down.
