Summary
What do you need after a breakup? The antithesis of your ex. In Penelope's case this means something fun, warm and interesting (aka the anti-Debling), and people who feel the normal amount of love for penguins.
So she heads to Australia for Christmas, because fuck Debling, fuck snow, and fuck Christmas with her family too. She's independent, courageous, assertive. She is putting what Penelope wants first for once.
And while what she wants isn't necessarily to have to be rescued on her first beach day here, she does enjoy being scooped out of the water by the most mouthwateringly hot man she's ever seen in her life.

Summary
“I am not doing it Gen.”
Penelope pulled her arm away from her,
“Yes, you bloody well are! You have been moping about in this flat for three weeks solid after your breakup with James, and you didn’t even blooming love the guy!”
Genevieve once again dragged her friend up from the sofa by the arm,
“Now, you are walking yourself to that room, putting on the FABULOUS dress that I bought you, and THEN you are walking that sweet hot ass to the door, so I can bring you on this HOT double date.”
She then pushed Penelope in the room and pointed at the dress and shoes laid out on the bed,
“… The date in question, which you are going to sit and enjoy while having a smile on that pretty face… or SO HELP ME GOD PENELOPE FEATHERINGTON.”

Summary
From the way he told it, Colin Bridgerton thought he was travelling to escape the boundaries of his small world. But being on the road, it seems, is lonely and he finds himself thinking again and again of home… of Penelope.
It starts as nothing more than texts, a way to share their days and feel as if there is someone else somewhere listening. But maybe it was always more. Maybe all they needed was an ocean between them to realise what had been there all along.
Or; five conversations separated by distance and one with very little distance at all.
