Summary
Taking a break from college to focus on making money seems to be a pattern in many lives.
One semester. Just one is what was promised. However, after the summer semester had concluded with no classes, finding the drive to go back was too difficult, especially when money was still tight. With the eventual deterioration of an ancient car, savings were emptied to find a used car that would suffice. One job just did not cut it anymore with expensive car payments looming every month.Finding a new job as a delivery driver for a pizza place in the 'newer' monster town, you find yourself at the doorsteps of most of the monsters who had emerged merely 2 years ago. The monsters' first emergence was met with heavy backlash, but as the 2 years had gone, most of that stigmatization stayed within households while the monsters were promised suitable living. The monster area paid the best hourly wages in the state, all while being within a reasonable distance. While some customers were gruff and crude, the people you meet prove to be more three-dimensional than most. However, you have your gripes with one particular pair of boneheaded skeletons.

Summary
(In First Person POV in the work)
Shooting the shit with coworkers during break time in the backroom was definitely one way to kill time. Although, this became a bit more interesting once one coworker dares you to address every person who approaches you for help as ‘sailor’ for a day. You had no idea that taking that dare would lead you to unironically using the term ‘Hello sailor’ even after that day. Working as a Walmart stocker has never been better. Well, until you notice some odd and illegal things going down more often than usual. Honestly, you don’t get paid enough to worry that much about other’s lives or put in the effort to stop the minor laws being broken. A little theft is understandable, but some guy with horribly bleached hair trading lean for some money in the bread isle definitely wasn’t something you wanted to get involved with. At least not until you see someone quite cute engaging with said lean dealer. (This is a discontinued work)
