Summary
Jo is 9, and it’s Christmas morning.
It’s cold and she can see her breath as she pokes her head out of the covers into the silence. When Mum is in a good mood, she tells Jo it’s like she’s a dragon, like she’s breathing fire out to warm them both up, to melt the ice that forms on the inside of the tenement windows. Mum is never in a good mood at Christmas though, and Jo knows there won’t be jokes today.

Jo has a crisis of conscience after her breakdown in the bathroom and decides she'd rather take her own life than lure Kate to her death. Thankfully, although AC-12 have stopped their surveillance operation, Kate hasn't.
The redemption arc I wish we'd seen for Jo - one that doesn't involve betrayal, ill-conceived car chases and Kate taking temporary leave of her senses!
