Summary
As the war creeps closer and masks begin to crack, Hermione Granger finds Draco Malfoy bleeding in the boys' bathroom - alone, furious, and more vulnerable than he wants to be. Against her better judgment, she drags him to the Room of Requirement, not to save him, but because she can't bring herself to leave him behind.
They don't talk about it. They don't talk at all, most days. But the Room keeps opening, and they keep walking through. What begins in silence builds into a pattern neither of them names- sharp glances, guarded pauses, the occasional note left behind. Not kindness. Not yet. But something that holds, just long enough, in a world that's falling apart.
They are on opposite sides. They know how this ends.
But the Room doesn't care about that. And maybe, deep down, neither do they.Outside, the world is choosing sides with increasing violence. There's no place for blurred lines or quiet understandings.
