And then it happens.
Shelby won’t look at Toni now, won’t let Toni touch her. It’s like they’re back to square one with cold glances and awkward conversation. Shelby blames herself, somehow, for Rachel’s attack and Nora’s death. The opposite of divine intervention, a punitive message from God for giving into her desires. But Toni won’t let Shelby push her away. Toni is this fiery and passionate person who knows what she wants.
