Well, of course that is a normal occurrence. He normally is wandering around the incredible, beautiful city of Yokohama, searching for a bridge to jump off—a perfect suicide! Usually, he does that and someone ends up saving him.
But this time it wasn't because of that, alright. To be honest, Dazai was quite certain that everything was solved—that Atsushi would catch him in time."
Or, Dazai was trying to solve a case, but he ends up as another victim... in a different world.
Or or, ADA Dazai Osamu in BEAST universe, having to deal with a BEAST PM boss Chuuya that recently lost his Dazai and is barely holding it together. When he sees ADA Dazai, he completely loses it.

"I'm tired of this." Your gaze hardens, gripping the gun as you approach him while aiming it at your older brother; directly at his head. All Dazai does is smile at you, cocking his head as he begins to feel amused by this sudden act of rebellion. "Oh? Tired of what?" He asks, eyes glimmering with a smugness that makes you want his tear his limbs off. Your brother leans back in his chair, reminding you of the power he holds over you — that just pisses you off more. "Tired of your big brother, huh? Do you need more allowance for candy? Is that what this is about?"
"It's not and you fucking know that." You spit, unable to control the venom your words are laced with. You place the pistol to his skull, warning him. "I am sick and tired of all the games you play." Osamu Dazai is nothing but a pest on this world. A plague that infects everything and everybody he interacts with. He's your brother. "So, you're finally getting all rebellious, little sister? How charming!" He chirps. "But tell me, little sister, you're really sure you can pull the trigger? I mean, really, you think you can shoot your big brother?"
