Summary
Mallory's life has come to a crawl. She barely leaves home, despite living in the gorgeous region of Alola, and spends most of her time working from home to provide a bit of extra income that her mother doesn't even need from her.
Until one day, she's blindsided by her mother giving her an envelope from the Paldea region, where Naranja Academy has admitted her into their Student Exchange Program for the current year. Despite the fact that her mom said that she wasn't forced to go, Mallory felt strong armed into the situation, and agreed to travel to Paldea for the year.
With her Alolan Vulpix, Glacia, she would have to find a way to survive a year abroad, when she would rather stay in Alola. The Naranja Academy Treasure Hunt awaits her, and she isn't ready to deal with it.
