Summary
Kaminari was a very simple person. All he wanted to do was protect people and hang out with his friends, but it’s kind of difficult when the hero commission is corrupt and one of his best friends inherently destroyed everything he loved.
The Bakusquad try to help Kaminari after he starts acting weird, but they can’t figure out what’s wrong. It isn’t until all of their futures are threatened that they start to put the pieces together, but by that point, it’s already too late.
Aka: Kaminari trying his best to be a good hero and friend, even when all the odds are stacked against him. Supportive Bakusquad, Dadzawa, and a lot of Denki angst.

There's a scream and a shout. He shoves the kid hard into safety and they both drop to the ground. Folding in on each other into the space under the pot. Rubble clattering down over top them and closing in their hiding place.
(this fic exists because I couldn't stop thinking about what it must have been like for chilchuck and mickbell hidding under that pot while the rest of their parties were attacked by fallin)

Summary
Kaminari liked to think of it as his second quirk, he could spot the kids who have it easy a mile away. And almost everyone in class 1-A had it easy. Of course some still had it harder than others and life’s always gonna be a bitch no matter who you are, but everyone in his class knew what it was like to be loved unconditionally. He could see it in the way they spoke and the way they carried themselves. Like they belonged.
Kaminari had never been so lucky.
Or: Kaminari hasn’t had an easy life, and the Bakusquad find out just how hard it’s been for him after his dad misses parents evening. However, Kaminari rejects their sympathy and is sick of them underestimating him. He wants to prove himself, but it’s hard when no one will help him.
Kaminari’s friends and Aizawa learn more about their resident ray of sunshine and try their best to support him when his own family gives up on him.Bookmarked by Kenmakiop
