But Temari was pretty. With a pretty sharp wit and a pretty difficult attitude to top it all off – or so it seemed Sunday morning when he woke up to her trying to sneak out. Temari in the morning light acted a little different from the girl he met at the party. Abrasive, brash. Maybe alcohol made her more mellow, agreeable. She wasn't the kind of girl he usually navigated towards, not calm or gentle.
But Shikamaru didn't completely dislike Temari. She seemed like a challenge, and instead of feeling put out by her ironic words the morning after, he felt… thrilled. It was weird.
Maybe he should text her.
