Even in the dim light, Senku could easily make out the man's appearance. Pale skin against dark narrowed eyes, framed in a mess of uneven half black half white hair, a face surprisingly familiar, save for one feature: a jagged scar across the right side of his face, marring the otherwise smooth skin.
"Hah!" Senku keeled over, arms wrapped across his abdomen as laughter bubbled up his chest, "You mean to tell me-" He looked up at the man, "I'm about to commit a joint suicide with the celebrity who writes shitty books on this same thing?"
If Gen Asagiri was offended, he didn’t show it. Instead, his voice took on a sickly sarcastic tone, and his lips curled into a sneer, "It's a once in a lifetime thing, you know."

Back then, two years ago now… they were juniors then, there had been a string of murders, with the bodies of various girls being found, in the months leading up to when it happened. At the time, they found it a little scary, but never could’ve thought it would affect them. It was the type of thing your thoughts wouldn’t linger on for more than twenty seconds. Until it was Xeno.
The day Xeno went missing, it was like witnessing the whole world slowly crumble around him. And when his body was found five days later, it shattered.
Even after two years, he still loved him. It hurt to think about him. And not a second went by where he didn’t.
Then one day, Stanley woke up in his old bedroom. The date on his alarm clock telling him he had woken up two years in the past. Was this some sort of nightmare? It was impossible… All thoughts scrambling through his brain stilled when the phone on his nightstand lit up, one name displayed on it that almost stopped his breathing.
It was a text from Xeno.

God, this is it. Gojo tugs off his blindfold and watches it flutter pathetically to the floor like a dying butterfly. He’d rather swim in a sea of curses than do this, but Megumi deserves to know.
“Me.”
Megumi’s breath hitches. A thousand microexpressions that Gojo’s learned to read over the years flicker across his features like the pages of a flipbook. “...what?”
“It was me. I killed him,” Gojo confirms. “I killed your father, Megumi.”
