Summary
For the record, Garroth didn’t intend to become an accomplice in an under-the-table trade deal. Things just ended up that way, circumstantially. Elderly women aren’t particularly great at inconspicuously smuggling goods, and Garroth will do anything to get out of the kitchen. So any moral ambiguity there is something he can worry about later, when it stops being convenient.
It certainly makes it easier to sweep things under the rug when the only other accomplice in the trade is a mysterious, cute florist who knows everything and nothing at all.

Garroth is a pretty decent pastry chef but an awful social navigator. Laurance is new to floristry but wise to everything else. Right now seems like the best place to figure things out. Maybe.

Summary
Laurance woke up from being ripped out of the Neather and has to deal with everything that comes with that, and maybe just maybe he can be normal with the help of Aphmau and Garroth.
The two of them ran down the stairs practically skipping two steps at a time, the sight they were welcomed to was maybe a person, their close friend had been beaten and battered not to mention there was charred black skin scattered across his body.
Aphmau sat herself down on Laurance’s left while Garroth did the same on the right he reached out to someone he hoped was Garroth, it wasn't.
“Zoey and you help me sit up?” That was the first thing they heard him say since they lost him.
“Zoey went to go and get Molly.” Aphmau’s voice was way deeper than he had expected, how long was he gone for?
