“Yeah?” you ask, and the softness in your gaze just about bowls him over. The air in his lungs dims down as he looks into your eyes, the world around him quieting and distilling down to you and only you.
“Salmon.”
“Thanks, Toge. You always know how to make me feel better.” And then your head is on his shoulder and he’s floating far, far above the smell of the blossoms at his knees.
