It stays at his side while he curses Whitebeard and his stupid invitation to become his son. Meanwhile, Marco wonders how he can persuade the new young pirate aboard their ship to finally join their crew and give up the notion of killing his captain.

Dropping to his knees, he leaned closer to Ace’s mouth, eyes wide. The rest of their crew and the marines most likely thought he was saying last minute words, but in reality he was waiting for it.

Another wheezy rasp, but it sounded quieter, almost gone…
Not even thinking about his place, Marco lit a a small flame underneath the sheet covering Ace’s grevious wound as his talons came out in place of his feet as his arms flared into his wings, in three beats of his blue and gold covered wings, he was in the air and sailing as fast as possible to the Moby Dick.
