    Slowly, as not to disturb his husband sleeping soundly beside him, he climbed out of bed, grabbing his robe off the floor as he tiptoed to the door. He was almost out of the room when he heard a sleepy, “Gege?”
    Xie Lian paused, turning slightly. “Go back to sleep, San Lang. I’m just searching for something.”
    This was clearly the wrong thing to say as the next moment, Hua Cheng was stretching, yawning as he said, “Let me help you, gege. Two heads are better than one, you know.”

    Xie Lian was about to argue, when another cry rang through the temple. Xie Lian turned to look at Hua Cheng, who was already walking towards him, tying the sash on his robe. “It came from outside."
