    Yeonjun always ranks first. Always.
    And Choi Soobin – his gorgeous, overachieving, infuriating rival, – is always second. Again.

    It’s become a routine, at this point. Yeonjun at the top of the academic rankings, Soobin just below, glaring at the list like it personally betrayed him. For everyone else, it’s predictable. For Yeonjun? It’s thrilling. Addictive. The tension between them is practically its own language now: sharp words, lingering glances, victories that taste way better when Soobin’s watching. So when Yeonjun leans in with his usual smile and teases him, he expects irritation.

    “Looks like someone’s second… again,” He says.

    What he gets instead is Soobin turning to him slowly, eyes glinting, lips curling into something dark and amused. He leans in, close enough for Yeonjun to stop breathing, fists clenching in anticipation.

    “Funny,” Soobin murmurs, voice low and smooth, “because outside university rankings it’s always you under me.”

    Rivalry was fun. Obsession was inevitable. But falling? That was never part of the plan.
