Summary
I lost my son in a war that should have never touched him. Max never had the chance to become what we had taught him to be. He didn’t have time to fight, to grow, or to understand what it meant to be a Shadowhunter. His life was taken before he could even begin.
The war destroyed everything, and with it, the promises we made. In that chaos, the lives of those we love fade away, and what we once believed was important dissolves into nothing. Violence has no honor, only an emptiness that lingers long after the battle ends. Heroes fall, but the pain doesn’t fade.
