“Do you promise not to forget me?” Fire Spirit asked, trying to hide the true intention of his question with a joking tone and a forced small laugh, cut short when he felt a chill hand, so unusual for the flame, resting on his cheek, pulling his face to stare at the other.
“I couldn’t even if I truly wanted to.” He whispered, slowly backing away from the spirit and removing his hand from his face, giggling softly at seeing the surprised and redder than normal expression coming from Fire Spirit. “Rest well, Fire Spirit.”
“I will see you soon, Windy.”

Summary
Immortal Cataclysm and Phoenix of the Sirocco Gales spend all their time together. They got settled into a comfortable routine that felt both right and perfect for both.
Although their routine was mostly filled with shared activities and small affection gestures, neither would deny when the opportunity to do something “else” came, both knowing exactly the way to make the other tremble with a simple touch.
Still, Phoenix was surprised by the outcome.
… Suprised? Yes. Complaining? Now that’s a different story…

“I don’t regret it, you know?” Fire Spirit said softly, turning his gaze back to the view while his finger gently caressed the other’s head, taking some stubborn strands of hair that insisted on getting in front of the peaceful and blank face. “Finally, no missions, no duties, no beasts or ultimate cookie bulshit, just you and me.” He chuckled, resting his head on top of the other. “I did this for us. Sure, right now it’s kinda of empty, but soon enough everything will be rebuilt. I just needed to set it all ablaze and start from the very beginning!”
All he received was silence.
