Taggie, now missing, became the centre of everyone's distress, especially Rupert, who was realising just how much his heart belonged to her. The woods became his frantic search ground alongside Bas, as Declan and Cameron embarked on their own urgent mission.
Meanwhile, Lizzie turned to Freddie for comfort after she wrestled with a disturbing request from James and Tony. In the heart of it all, Taggie found herself living her greatest fear—lost, injured, and agonising over her loyal companion, Gertrude.

Set 5 days after their kiss...
Taggie has been moping around the Priory, wondering where Rupert has disappeared to and if he regretted kissing her. She tries her hardest to keep her mind occupied by busying herself with chores, but she can't stop thinking about him.
~ It was during that dance to The Lady in Red that she felt seen. Understood. She felt like she had known Rupert for much longer than what she had. Almost like she had always known him and had waited for him. Somewhere deep in her soul, she knew that she had always loved him and always will. It felt like all of time had stopped moving and nothing else had ever been and all she ever knew was right there in his eyes.
________________________________~ It’s been 2 weeks since Rupert last saw her, and the ache in his chest has only intensified with each passing day. Every morning, he wakes with the ghost of her laughter echoing in his mind, the warmth of her smile still vivid in his memory. He can picture her angelic face as she gazes at him. He feels as if he left a piece of himself with her, his heart, nestled securely in the palm of her hand. He did. He knows he did.
Where could he possibly be and what happens when he finally returns?

Taggie takes a swig of whiskey, and the burn that scorches her throat and warms her belly is almost as good as smashing dishware. A few sips has her feeling brave and stealing glances at the phone, wondering what might happen if she calls him. If Cameron’s there, or at the apartment Rupert let slip he’s rented for her in the city. If he’ll speak to her in that careful, mild way he’s adopted as of late, as if she’s a constituent and not someone who knows what his mouth tastes like.
Feeling tipsy and a little reckless, Taggie picks up the receiver.
Or, they kissed in the kitchen, and nothing's the same.
