Summary
There are dozens and dozens of words in Tanjirou’s head, old thoughts that he’s spent two years thinking about and new sentiments that have sprung up since the Pillars’ meeting. Whenever Tanjirou thinks of that moment – his face grounded into the stone path and hearing the contents of Urokodaki-san’s letter, and how Tomioka-san had looked, stoic and resolute and unwavering – Tanjirou’s heart feels overfull, brimming over with the enormity and the multitude of his emotions.
If Tanjirou allow his brush to write what it would like, he would end up sending pages upon pages of his gratitude and his admiration to Tomioka-san.
But Tomioka-san doesn’t seem like the sort of person who wants any spectacle to be made over his actions, so Tanjirou will refrain. Instead, he inscribes Tomioka-san’s name, each stroke of each character precisely made, and just writes the way he wrote the journals for Nezuko during her years-long sleep.
(A series of interconnected fics, in which Tanjirou writes letters to the important people he meets along his journey in general, and to Giyuu specifically. Giyuu never answers with a letter, but he does respond in his own way).
