Summary
Neil and Mary's last run-in with Nathan and his crew led to her death and Neil losing his memory. He's forgotten everything that's happened since before they left home, living only on his instincts and his mothers dying words to him. When he picks up an exy stick at Millport and is caught by the one and only David Wymack, his life starts to change dramatically.
He's got to figure out how to listen to his mother while living a life he is happy with and keep himself alive at least long enough to remember who he is and why several of his new team members seem unnecessarily interested in who he is.Bookmarked by LadyNoLuck

There is something amazing about this fic. I can't quite pinpoint it, though. The writing is amazing. Emotions and ideals come off the computer screen and take a hold of you. The subtle plot points sneak into you and make you attached to characters that you know you may never see again. It doesn't brush over the topics of life, death, religion, alcoholism, and being comfortable with yourself as you are in this very moment; it delves into them headfirst.
I have a fear of death after drowning and waking up at the bottom of the pool without oxygen and only the will to survive, which told me to use my last bit of energy to kick the floor, surface, and breathe. Death was scary for me, and I don't want to talk about what I saw and felt. However, this fic brought that all back, and, though at first I want very uncomfortable reading the parts about death, this fic held my hand through it, without lies, just pure honesty.
This fic needs a lot more readers, and it needs to be published, so I can put it on my bookshelf and read it whenever I am having a bad day.
Read it. Read it. Read it. That is all I wanted to say. -

Eren's best childhood friend and high school boyfriend, Armin, dies in a car accident in which Eren had been the one at the wheel. Unable to keep from blaming himself, life itself becomes agonizing for Eren and he turns to the more negative side of coping mechanisms. Eventually, he meets a college student named Levi who seems like he has it all figured out, just to discover that they have more in common than he thought. Modern!AU.
Also, Levi has a motorcycle because it was definitely necessary.- Language:

This. This is amazing. Not only is the character development awesome and realistic, the plot doesn't miss a beat. Cliches that could have ruined the plot's worth were done in original ways that left the reader haunted with a feeling that lasts them hours after they stop reading.

It was a sweet read. I liked how the relationship naturally progressed from the first meeting, instead of an immediate "OMG I love you"/"Yeah, me too" kind of thing. It was really enjoyable, and I love that there was no need to bring sex into the story because the story didn't need it to be a wonderful romance. The gaming terminology was also nice because I am a bit of a gamer myself (but not a hardcore one), so it was very interesting. Many props to the author for this great story.

Summary
Levi is just your average 21 year old who hadn't seemed to mature just quite yet. He had to repeat his senior year in high school for the third time, and was one of those students who didn't seem to take anything in life seriously. One day, a try-hard transfer student is introduced into his life, and Levi finds himself undergoing a cascade of internal changes which he didn't exactly know what to make of...

The characters are really well done, and I am glad someone didn't make Levi an obedient, solitary asshole for once because I personally think he is actually a mischievous asshole, who will have a handful of friends that he says he doesn't care about, but does. Kudos. Bravo. I can't get enough of this story.
