    He was dark brown, with leathery wings a shade darker than his fuzzy body and a flattened snout. His back legs had more of the leathery flight skin stretched between them, capped by two small feet, toes uselessly gripping at the air.

    Oh, and there were the tiny dark eyes, which he was using to give me a truly impressive glare for such a small face.
