Macaque woke up that morning to the dawn shining through his curtains, the sounds of the city starting to wake up, the birds calling out the song of the day, and the horrifying realization that Sun Wukong was climbing in through his window.
Aka; the fic where Wukong drags Macaque into helping him with his glamours. And a bunch of other things happen, but that's not important.

Summary
It was becoming increasingly clear as time went by that this whole redemption thing Wukong had thrust him into hadn't been planned very well, if there even was a plan to begin with.
Wukong was a Monkie of action, not planning, unless it was an elaborate prank he rarely had the patience to think that far ahead and was often quick to distraction if left alone (not that he would ever admit to that).
So saying that their little ’deal’ a while back was likely a spur of the moment decision wouldn't be that far from the truth.
