Summary
Joel Miller from across the street helps you move and you let him. If you knew then what you know now you would’ve left the boxes in the yard. You didn’t know he was about to change your life. You didn’t know he’d decided that before you ever unpacked.

Summary
Sometimes, Ellie got the strange sensation of being in a hotel, somewhere completely impermanent and impersonal. It was all too easy to picture the others leaving and simply never coming back, Ellie waiting in the empty space like a sad little foster kitten, ridden with fleas and whining at her food bowl. Then some new group would arrive and inform her it was theirs now, and that would be that. This place she called home could be rid of any trace of her in a matter of hours.
(Or: Ellie is a drug dealer. Joel is a dad. Bonding ensues.)

Summary
After sacrificing her best friend to save an entire town, Max Caulfield finds herself back in the present, standing once again at the Everyday Heroes contest in San Francisco. But the last face she expects to see among the crowds is his. Mark Jefferson—the man who destroyed everything—free, unpunished, and walking the same halls as her.
When Max tries to keep her distance, she realizes he’s not simply watching her, he’s studying her, the way a predator studies its prey. His fascination with her talent, her guilt, her innocence, twists into something darker, an obsession that tightens with every encounter.
Haunted by grief and fuelled by a burning need for justice, Max vows to expose him. But without her time-bending powers, she’s trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse where one wrong move could cost her everything. To catch him now, she’ll have to rely on her wits alone, and face the terrifying question of how far she’s willing to go for revenge.
