Summary
Nina Smith has spent most of her life disappearing into fictional worlds. In 2025, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only one of them; familiar, beloved, and safely separated from reality by a screen.
Then she wakes up barefoot in Manhattan on May 4, 2012, while the Battle of New York is still happening.
You know how this story is supposed to go. Nina thinks she does too.
Loki. HYDRA. The Winter Soldier. Ultron. Thanos. She remembers the disasters, the betrayals, and how some of their stories end.
What she doesn’t know is what happens when the people she loved as characters turn out to be real, and one frightened, spectacularly stupid decision changes everything.
She knows the story. She does not know these people.
And the future is already changing.
a kind-of self-insert, mostly-not-really OFC gets dropped into the MCU at the single worst possible moment and discovers that knowing the plot is not remotely the same thing as surviving it, especially when every choice she makes gives the universe another opportunity to improvise.
