Summary
It happened so long ago.
You were so young.
Immature.
Naive.
And yet so deadly.
It was summer break so your parents thought it was a good idea to go down there for vacation.
You were allowed to go down by the lake while your mother and father were making dinner, but you wandered deeper into the trees and lost track of where you were.
Suddenly your head grew fuzzy and there was a light humming sound ringing in your ears.
But as you wandered on the humming got louder and it was almost impossible to think. It wasn’t until you saw the slim figure and white featureless face hidden behind some trees further up that you stopped.The skin was so pale you could call it dead.
Your eyes widen and your mouth hung open slightly, breathing unsteady as the instinctive fight or flight instinct kicks in.The moment you felt cold hands touch your shoulders is when you darted.
Not even looking back as you crashed through the trees, trying to distance yourself from whatever the hell that was.
Eventually you saw the lake once more and ran alongside it until you saw your cabin once more.
After that day you never went into the woods again.
