It is time for her royal confirmation ceremony. Leia Organa's official coming-of-age celebration, in which she is presented to members of the Imperial hierarchy, has finally come. She feels ready, if not somewhat apprehensive at the prospect of being flaunted like a debutante at a ball. It is a necessary spectacle, not only because she has chosen a worthy cause to which all proceeds will go, but because it will help solidify her political position as Princess of Alderaan, perhaps finally putting to rest any disquiet regarding her lack of true royal blood.
