Summary
Apollo Justice has never really seen his gender identity as anything more than just a part of him so he never really got the whole "coming out" thing. He didn't understand why he would ever come out to people, it would just give them another reason to make fun of him. So he just introduced himself as male and if people questioned it he just shrugged it off and ignored them. Until one day he nearly passes out from wearing his binder too long and he decides the people closest to him should have some clarity for everyone's sake.
(Or: Three times Apollo comes out and none of them go how he thought they would)
