Silco still delights in messing the bed even more. He hums at the softness, the way the bed sinks deeper than expected. Plush, welcoming, the center of Jayce's real scent. Not the one the young man perfumes on at his vanity, but the fresh one that gathers in his neck after a shower... the one he wears when he comes sweating from his family forge...
Silco pauses. He pats the head pillows some. There is something, off about the woody smell. Something not Jayce.
Instead it's sweet, coffee-scented instead of tea.
This is not his smell, he realizes first.
Or: Jayce forgets to tell Silco he platonically, literally sleeps with his best friend. (Not that he thought it needed mentioning.)
