    When the name Regulus Black rang through the hall, he did not search the room for the face of his brother, only took a deep breathe and approached the Sorting Hat. He closed his eyes as the hat was picked up and placed on his head, and couldn't help but picture the image of four young boys laughing in a train compartment. The hat took merely seconds to decide and Regulus snapped his eyes open the same instance that the sorting was declared.

    The Great Hall went wild and bright red colors flashed in front of him. Those same four boys screamed and chanted his name. He lost the ability to stand up and a professor aided him as he took a silent walk towards the last table he thought he’d be going to tonight.

    Regulus Black had been sorted into Gryffindor.
