Summary
It's a dark and stormy night and Private Detective Hank Anderson wants nothing more than to go home, bury himself in another bottle or two, and leave this dingy old office long behind him. Getting away from his partner Gavin Reed would only do him good. But, before he can bid his office behind, he hears a knock on the door.
In walks the Arkay brothers and a whole slew of new problems that Hank just knows he'll be knee deep in before the end of the night.

Summary
It is, indeed, a tragedy.
(It is also an irony how the flowers can mirror his feelings perfectly. Malva is tender and beautiful, and in some way hideous. His love is the same – it’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever felt, but it’s consuming him and he knows it will only stop when it reaches its goal, and he knows he will take that goal to the grave with him.)

Summary
In a world in which people valued the flowers that bloomed on their skin, displayed them proudly as proof of love at best and battle scars at worst, someone with unmarred skin was an anomaly, a myth, almost. There were stories about those people in fairy tales children heard at night. The heartless villain, the evil witch, the monster.
Androids didn't have flowers.
Neither did Gavin Reed.
