“It’s almost like they want to make it easier for me.” Hwei felt the voice more than he heard it, a sensual rumble that made his skin warm unexpectedly. He felt himself inhale softly as a heavy weight pressed itself against him. The thing was curled up against him like a lover, he braced himself for what would eventually come next. If anyone else were to happen upon him right now, all they would see was him breathing heavily, straining lightly against his bonds. Squirming against an invisible force. He hated the way this thing made him react, reducing him to nothing but a prey animal. Moreover, he hated the small part of him that was thrilled by this idea. The ugly part of him that was fascinated with the fact that at any moment, this horrible thing could kill him. Why hadn’t it? He knew why. His own power, albeit weak, over this thing terrified him.
