Summary
"Mommy, do you think I could still be a hero?" the young boy asked quietly as tears poured down his face. Inko's heart shattered as she watched her son, his shaking hand still pointing at his favorite video of his favorite hero. A big part of her wanted to go over and cry with him, tell him how sorry she was because she'd failed to pass down a quirk to her little boy. But then her senses kicked in and she realized: that was the worst thing to do right now. She wasn't going to apologize for anything. She was going to make sure Izuku got the chance to live his dream.
"Honey, I'm so sorry...that I ever made you think you couldn't."
In other words, the story that probably should have been.
Note: because of early changes to characters' stories, some will be different from canon. Also, I'm removing Mineta because I hate him personally, and writing him in would probably kill me.
