Summary
Healing? What is healing? Dazai couldn’t quite grasp it. He thought he might have understood after joining the Armed Detective Agency and forming connections there. Kunikida, with his earnestness, even reminded him of Odasaku, the one person who was the closest to understanding him. Dazai hoped he could become a better man, but as it turned out, Odasaku’s words rang true: “no place in the world could ever fill the void within him.” Dazai knew this all too well and chose to accept it. No one, neither Odasaku nor the friends he had come to rely on could bridge that endless chasm in himself. It might seem harsh, but Dazai was a lot more harsh on himself. The reality of his loneliness felt less like a harsh truth and more like a profound, melancholic void.
Or Dazai realizes there’s much more than that, falling into an eventual romance with Fyodor.
Aka many meetings of fyodor and Dazai with romantic/obsessive tension. -
