Not to the Sarentu. Not to the war. Not to love.
When So'lek disappeared without a trace, I learned how to survive without him. How to breathe without breaking. How to build a life around the space he left behind.
For a year, I convinced myself that whatever had existed between us was over.
Then he came back.And suddenly, every wound I had forced myself to close was open again.
I don't want his explanations. I don't want his apologies. I don't even want to look at him.But Pandora has a cruel way of bringing people back together, and somewhere between danger, old wounds, anger, and feelings that refuse to stay buried, the distance between us begins to disappear.
The forest remembers everything.
And so does my heart.
Because sometimes the hardest thing isn't learning how to survive without someone.
It's deciding what to do when they come back.

Summary
The war did not end when the fighting stopped.
So’lek carries the weight of survival like a vow, a promise to avenge all he lost. Tamtey carries it like a makeshift weapon with an edge so sharp it cuts her as much as it cuts them. Bound by loss and shaped by violence, they circle one another carefully. Two warriors who know too much about how to endure, but not enough yet about falling back.
As vengeance gives way to protection and attention turns into something harder to ignore, together they begin the slow, painful work of facing what was done to them.
TLDR; in which So’lek and Tamtey tell a story of shared grief, unspoken devotion, and the difficult work of choosing to heal (while Ìley & Amay are being two winged puppies).
