This can’t be it. I think. This can’t be where they find me. I hear another bang on the glass and hear another scream. I think it comes from me.
“Taylor?!” I hear from a new direction. Through the living room, coming from the stairs, is Travis’ voice.
The banging knock and scraping continues as I bury my face into my knees as I fall to a sitting position. I use my arms to pull myself closer, into a ball. My eyes squeeze shut.
