Summary
The summer she turned eleven, Mary Elizabeth Potter met two witches who would change her life forever. The first, Minerva McGonagall, introduced her to the wizarding world and freed her from the Dursleys, taking Mary as her own ward. The second, Hermione Granger, invited Mary into her home and became her first real friend. Together, Mary and Hermione started school at Hogwarts, where they were sorted into Slytherin and Ravenclaw, made new friends, and had all sorts of adventures—much to the annoyance of Mary's Head of House and aspiring protector, Professor Snape, who would very much prefer if the girls would just do as they're told and stay out of trouble.
However, with the reveal at the end of Mary's second year that Snape had been childhood friends with her mother, their entire relationship is changed. And with conflict brewing within Slytherin House, a Dark Lord on the rise, and enemies around every corner, Mary and Snape will need each other if they are to make it through the coming years alive.
