Summary
Ashes are what is left of Old Valyria. In all the storybooks you had read as a child you heard of the many fabled families that lived there, the dragons, the magic they all seemed to have, and how Daenys the Dreamer warned of the Doom. Magic that seemed to disappear from the world except for Dragons and their owners.

Aemond watched you from the balcony that overlooked down into the garden. You were singing quietly to your self unaware of anyone around. He gripped the rail of the balcony until his knuckles whiten. He didn't know why he couldn't tear his gaze away from you. He hated himself for not wanting to look away from your lovely face that glowed in the moonlight. You were a devil to him. One he needed to get rid of you so he wouldn't be tortured any longer with your presence in the Keep. "A witch," he muttered to himself angrily, still fingers gripping tightly to the rail.
