The justified reason was to make sure G.U.N. didn’t have anything left of what was Shadow’s past. They didn’t deserve that after what they did.
So here Shadow was, now stumbling home to where it knew the darkness of the past couldn’t quite fully reach, no matter how deep the scars go."
