Summary
Izuku had been writing analysis for as long as he could write. It's something that had saved him in his time while quirkless. Something that he had been accused of being creepy and stalkerish for. Now, at UA, a few of his friends have seen his notebooks and even taken some of his advice! It's so different from his life in middle school, until his teachers see his notebooks. For the first time, Izuku does not feel at home at UA. A suspected traitor, he's kicked out of the school. What will he do now? Will he be a hero? Can he be a hero?
This is my first actual fic posting! Sorry for the lame summary, but tag along for the ride and see where the story goes!

He isn’t sure if it’s the type of alone that you grow in. The one where you learn to be by yourself, to love yourself, to function as a member of society on your own. The alone that includes slow mornings with good coffee and easy yoga. The alone that wraps itself around you like an old friend, leaving you content and satiated with your life.
Or if it’s the type of alone that leaves you empty. The kind that sits in your soul and reminds you that there is no one for you to lean on, no one there for you to hold on to when the storm of life tries to toss you overboard. The one where you scroll through social media and see engagement after marriage after first home bought. The one where you still feel like you’re 18 and muddling through life while also being 25 and holding down a career

Summary
Shinsou Hitoshi has been in the foster care system for 10 years. Now, he's being sent to a reformation home that happens to be run by his hero mentor. He's so screwed.
this fic is actually based on a buzzfeed article I read about American orphanages in the 1940s. It was actually mentioned in a podcast about Albert Fish. It lead to a deep dive about orphanages at that time and what it was really like for kids. So, the things that Shinsou has experienced in this fic come from that research, it's not to be dramatic, these things really happened to people. I wanted to write the emotional aftermath. Also, angst is a fun outlet, so lemme have this.

Hitoshi doesn’t make any smartass remarks or noise in general, and Aizawa goes on living like he’s still alone in the apartment. Really, it’s better than Hitoshi could’ve hoped for, especially considering the shit he pulled with his last placement.
Or, alternatively, Hitoshi finds a home.

Here, Hitoshi just now notices, is the closed gates of the UA campus. And today is the day of his transfer exam into the hero course.
