Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Grace can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Rocky learns about how Grace got on the Hail Mary (Including Rocky witnessing the memory of Grace being sent on the Hail Mary)! Grace can survive in Rocky's atmosphere! Grace will live as long as Rocky! Rocky and Adrian reuinite and Adrian meets Grace! Summary
The story explores an alternate version of the Hail Mary Mission preparation in which Stratt does not keep Grace sedated. Forced to remain conscious through the medical procedures meant to prepare his body for three years in coma, Grace has to cooperate under fear, pain, and coercion. The story focuses on the psychological and ethical tension between violation and care, survival and consent, and the team’s attempt to keep him functional without pretending that cooperation means agreement.

Summary
An Alternate Universe where Grace faced starvation earlier on due to contaminated food. I am following what the book states about the food situation on the ship, how Grace has enough food until he reaches Erid. Due to an error within the ship, one Grace couldn’t fix in time, much of the food spoils and rots. Grace’s starvation begins early. The trip to Erid was hard on Grace’s body, and despite its scientists being quick on their feet, Grace’s condition worsens. Rocky devotes his time to remaining by Grace’s side, experiencing more grief than an Eridian would experience in a life time.

Summary
The humans threw Grace away. Grace, who worked so hard to save them, who came back for Rocky when he realized the taomoeba would eat through Rocky's ship. Grace, who gave up his chance to go home to save Erid too.
And then Rocky finds out exactly how Grace ended up in space.
They're not giving him back now. Grace will always have a place on Erid where he's beloved and cherished the way he should be, even if it takes Grace a while to believe he's worth that. Rocky may or may not have plans to fix up the Hail Mary for the trip back anyways- there were a few things they wanted to say directly to Stratt's face.
