Hmm...how do I describe this? An unlikely meeting at a party leads to one helping the other, the favor's returned, and then an act of inhuman cruelty by someone else brings them closer than they could've ever imagined. An unexpected attraction complicates everything and what happens then is anyone's guess as they both discover and learn that love has many faces and it doesn't matter who or what you are. You fall in love whether you want to or not, whether you like it or not, whether you realize it...or not.

Marshall didn't entirely tell the truth about Stan. He left some things out. Like the fact that Stan didn't live in Denver. He lived in Los Angeles. Or the fact that the first letter found its way to Interscope's office just fine. But music required truth more than it did honesty, and it wasn't really important that Stan didn't quite manage to kill himself or even that his name wasn't really Stan. The only thing that mattered was just how badly Marshall had fucked everything up and the fact that there was no way to ever put it right.
