Faced with grief, divorce, and the loss of his job, there is nothing Mobius M. Mobius wouldn't give to have the bleak and unforgiving state of his own existence proven to be a fiction. When he meets Loki, someone who's equally down on his luck, but who is absolutely convinced that the two of them are "variants" trapped in a simulated world by the "TVA", Mobius might just be willing to believe him.

Summary
“You know what a movie is, right?” Mobius had asked one evening while hovering near the stove, stirring a simmering pot of classic Asgardian-style soup. A dish which he knew was one of his partner’s favorites when it came to comfort. Mobius suspected that it reminded him of his mother.
Loki was sitting at the kitchen table with an open book under his nose and a steaming cup of tea to his right. He looked far too elegant for someone dressed in green flannel.

Summary
There weren't many people who could sneak up on Loki.
Despite claiming to have studied his entire existence, Mobius was not an exception. The soft footfalls, as calm and steady as the man’s overall presence, reached Loki’s ears long before the grey haired analyst chose to speak.
“I’m sorry.” He said, and Loki hated how genuine it sounded. “That never- never should have happened.”
The ‘that’ which Mobius was referring to was the darkening skin around Loki’s left eye and the pain in his ribs where he’d been repeatedly kicked. Loki clenched his teeth together, but the twinge of pain that the tightening of his muscles elicited caused him to slacken his jaw once more.

Summary: Another unit is killed and Hunter D-90 takes it out on the only Loki variant readily available at the TVA. Mobius steps in to defend his favorite Loki, much to the variant's surprise.
Takes place between episodes 1 and 2. Loki and Mobius' feelings for each other are still gradually developing.
