The bird is in a crouch stance.
Head low and pupils are nothing but a pinpricks. Wings draped over his body, feathers ruffled and sharp ready to kill whatever dares come near. His hands are splayed in front of his bare chest, as if he has talons under those thick gloves—a low inhuman growl alongside not-so-sharp canines on full display.Hawks could lunge right now and rip the man's throat out; vocal cords, jugular, all of it.
Field canines or not, he can do it.
He feels Dabis blood pumping under the skin.
Every pulse screams at him to do it. Dares him to pounce.Or: Hawks acts like a bird, gets hurt, and goes feral. Dabi is (very confused) forced to calm the feral bird without dying in the process.

He sends a feather towards the bathroom to restock the tissues that are running out beside him on the bed. Only to realize there are no feathers to send away—because there are no wings to send them from.
