Summary
When Eddard Stark is beheaded, he finds himself in the presence of the Old Gods. They inform him that he, and his family, will be given a second chance to fix it all again. Only they have some stipulations and provisos for him. Eddard Stark, with memories of his and his family’s futures, wakes up on the eve before he and his party reach the Tower of Joy.
Eddard, Benjen and Catelyn -- along with three others -- will have memories of the future, and on Robb’s fifteenth nameday, Jon and the Stark children will be given their memories of the future, and a chance to change the future for the better -- including giving Jon Snow -- also known as Jaehaerys Targaryen -- his birthright.
